At the yearly BIPOC POP Expo & Symposium, The Frederick Luis Aldama Excellence Endowment provides awards to the best essay submitted by an undergraduate and graduate student on the topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion as represented in popular culture!

• Submit only one essay for consideration
• Submission should be the original essay graded for a class offered in or cross-listed with the Department of English at UT, Austin
• Essays will be evaluated by UT faculty (graduate essay award) and UT PhD students (undergraduate essay award)
• Deadline: February 20th, 2023
